Benjamin is a distinguished U.S. Army veteran with 14 years of service, during which he was awarded the Bronze Star and completed multiple combat tours as a Forward Observer (13F). During these tours he served as a senior non-comissioned officer.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, graduating summa cum laude with Highest Distinction in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. Benjamin furthered his education with a Master of Science in Economics from Purdue University, focusing on big data and time series forecasting, with a research emphasis on dynamic models. He is currently a PhD candidate at the University of California, Irvine, specializing in urban economics and machine learning, with research interests in causal inference, difference-in-differences, and urban price gradients.
In addition to his academic and military achievements, Benjamin is an entrepreneur. He founded and continues to serve on the board of a company dedicated to gym and retail brand development and niche market consulting.
