Dr. Giacomo De Giorgi is an Econometrician who works on several topics related to household's behavior under uncertainty, including insurance, credit, mobility, and housing.
He brings with him a wealth of experience as a senior economist for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and as an expert consultant for the World Bank Group and Croatia, Mexico, Tunisia, Kyrgyzstan and Kosovo Government. Dr. De Giorgi also has an extensive experience in conducting impact evaluations for the Lisbon Meeting and the International Food Policy Research Institute.
Dr. De Giorgi is currently the Full Professor of Economics at the University of Geneva and an Adjunct Professor at the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics. Dr. De Giorgi held previous faculty positions at the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics, ICREA/MOVE, the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, Columbia University and Stanford University in the Department of Economics.
He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University College London, his M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Warwick, and his B.A. in Economics from Bocconi University.
